This month's AE presenter: Kyle
Date of presentation: 23 Mar 2020
Subject: The Boeing 737 Max
Description: The Boeing 737 has a long history of being a successful and best-selling
aircraft, until now. The latest generation named the Max has been
grounded for over a year now with no end in sight. Kyle's excellent presentation explained what went wrong with the best seller.
This site is intended as a log of Aerospace Education activity in the Civil Air Patrol,
California Wing, San Jose Senior Squadron 80. As such, it will probably be of limited
interest to anyone outside of that organization (and even to many within it), but feel
free to poke around anyway.
We apologize in advance for the utter lack of salacious content. But since there is no shortage
of other sites that will be happy to cater to that need, we won't be losing any sleep over it.

Presentation: February 2020
This month's AE presenter: Kailash
Date of presentation: 24 Feb 2020
Subject: Starliner - A NASA / Boeing Joint Mission
Description: For February, Kailash presented an overview of the NASA/Boeing mission Starliner - an alternative to SpaceX's "Crew Dragon" project that will hopefully bring American astronauts to the International Space Station in the not-too-distant future, and perhaps even farther after that. The presentation touched on such subjects as: cost/benefit vs. alternatives such as Crew Dragon and/or Soyuz; reusability of at least some of the components (the crew module, for one); details of the spacecraft and launch vehicle; supply chain and operations; crew and cargo accommodations; and a bit about the various forms of testing the craft has undergone so far.

Date of presentation: 4-Feb-2013
Subject: The World's Greatest Boeing 787 Dreamliner Quiz (maybe?)
Description: Since the Boeing 787 has been in the news quite a bit recently, I thought it might be interesting to see how much people already know about it. This presentation is a 14-question quiz (Powerpoint/PDF), and hopefully comes across as lighthearted as well as informational.
(NOTE: As of 14-Jan, this presentation has NOT yet been given to the squadron, since we ran out of time that night. Since there will be no meeting next Monday night, I plan to give this presentation on the 28th instead. I will provide updates in the Comment area once I have given the presentation.)
