Subject: Combined Safety / AE Jeopardy Game
Description: For a change of pace, safety officer Stephen Pierce and I decided to put together a joint presentation in the form of a Jeopardy-like game. In this game we had five categories of six questions each (yes, it probably should have been the other way around!). Three categories were AE-related: Fluid Dynamics, Air Traffic Control, and Early Aviation History. (The other two were safety-related: ORM and Safety Regs.) A fourth AE category, The Final Frontier, was never used. A good time seemed to be had by all, even if the scorekeeping proved ultimately pointless.

Subject: Aerospace Game (Jeopardy-like Quiz)
Description: For May, Jeff wanted to try something a bit different, so he created a Jeopardy-like game show and got the squadron involved in playing. The game consisted of questions in four Aerospace-related categories: General Aviation History, Aerodynamics, Aviation Safety, and Aeromedical. Team 2 (the left side of the room) won by a substantial margin.

Subject: The Lockheed Vega - History Comes To Life
Description: Jeff's October 2014 presentation talked about the Lockheed Vega, a record-setting airplane from the 1920s and 1930s, its history, significant accomplishments, and the efforts made by one man to restore the last one still flying to its original condition.
Most of the information and images were taken from Air & Space / Smithsonian Magazine, Oct/Nov 2014 issue, a corresponding article on their website, and the Wikipedia article on the Lockheed Vega.

Description: This presentation gave an overview of the history of the Pan Am Airlines company - how it got its start, expansion into first the Caribbean, then the Pacific Ocean, and eventually the Atlantic Ocean as well, then it discussed how the company fared following the end of World War II. From its start, it was a complete system of exclusive routes, custom-built aircraft, navigation and weather stations, and ports of call on both land and sea.
